Sudie,
My husband and I are unable to attend the council meeting on April 23. I would appreciate it very much if my
letter was read at the council meeting .

Subject: Birmingham crossroads... please vote against zoning
modifications
Dear Mayor and Councilman,
Please vote no on the zoning modifications for the southeast
quadrant of Birmingham Highway and Birmingham Road.
Please keep the buffer intact and save the trees and green space and
density growth.*
Recently my neighbor received a citation for tree removal per the
city tree ordinance. We appreciate the current laws in force and
ongoing efforts to preserve our rural community. The zoning
modifications to be considered on April 23 at the Birmingham
crossroads in essence would involve tree removal and seems in
complete contradiction to the Milton tree ordinance and tree
canopy stance and should NOT be considered.
As many of us have witnessed the construction craze in downtown
Alpharetta, I would hope this would never happen in Milton. The
density and buildings in Alpharetta have changed the character of
the town drastically and the charm has been lost. Milton does not
need higher density.
Sincerely,
Barbara G. Taylor
