I have and will continue to oppose variances that allow more commercial or residential developments that reduce or eliminate undisturbed buffers, setbacks, and greenspace. Approving this variance so a builder can cram homes as little as 10 feet apart is not at all in the best interest of Milton retaining its rural feel. We must keep the one acre minimum buffer to reduce the impact of the higher density this development will already bring. Milton has been very clear how it feels about variances that increase density and change the look of the community over the past several years, most recently with the election Mr. Jamison and Ms. Bentley this past fall. Thus far, the city council has listened. I am asking that you continue to honor the will of the majority of the citizens in Milton and follow the city staff's recommendation of denying of this variance. Bill Hosmer 235 Weatherwood Circle
