RESOLUTION NO.19-03-504
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE CITY OF MILTON PARKS AND RECREATION
PROVIDENCE PARK MASTER PLAN AS A REFERENCE DOCUMENT
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council and the Mayor of the City of Milton, GA while in a
Regular Meeting on March 18, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Milton identified the need for a Ten Year Comprehensive Master Plan
for the Parks and Recreation Department; and
WHEREAS, in April 2017, the City approved the funding to create a Ten Year Comprehensive
Master Plan for the Parks and Recreation Department in the City of Milton; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant, Barge Waggoner, Sumner, Cannon, Inc. (now Barge Design
Solutions, Inc.). has worked with the citizens of Milton and the City staff in a collaborative manner;
and
WHEREAS, the public interest will be served by the adoption of this Comprehensive Master
Plan as a reference document.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council and the Mayor of the City of
Milton does hereby adopt;
1. The City of Milton Ten Year Comprehensive Master Plan for the Parks and Recreation
Department for use as a reference document to project the current and future needs and
desires of the community. This plan identifies key opportunities for programming and
park planning that will contribute to the quality of life for all citizens of the City of
Milton.
