The following are additional requirements for footings�
(1) Two (2) runs of one-half-inch (#4), minimum, steel rebar.
a. Rebar shall be evenly spaced horizontally and elevated off the floor of the footing a minimum of
two-and-one-half (21/2) inches and shall meet American Concrete Institute (ACI) Standard 318.
b. Rebar must run continuous through footing, including any step-downs and corners.
c. Where it is necessary to piece rebar, it shall overlap a minimum of twelve (12) inches. 8'
d. All rebar shall be tied together using steel wire.
e. Rebar shall be installed in a neat and workmanlike manner.
(2) All grade stakes must be of metal material.
(3) All trenches for footings must be cleared of all roots, stumps, loose dirt, and other foreign mattei%
(4) Bottom of footings shall be a minimum of twelve (12) inches below grade.
