ROLL CALL Roll call was taken by Mr. Stachowski. MEMBERS PRESENT Scott Stachowski Jason Alberici Joey Costanzo Sean-Michael Yonson OTHERS PRESENT Steve Krokoff, City Manager Stacey Inglis, Assistant City Manager Thomas Rhodes, Parks and Recreation Specialist Matt Marietta, Deputy Fire Chief Quorum was announced by Mr. Stachowski. PRAB – June 18, 2020 Page 2 of 4 APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA A motion to approve the meeting agenda was made by Mr. Alberici and seconded by Mr. Mr. Yonson. The vote passed unanimously. APPROVAL OF PAST MINUTES A motion to approve the February 20, 2020 meeting minutes was made by Mr. Costanzo and seconded by Mr. Alberici. The vote passed unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT Jeff Johnson via online voice call. The board was unable to communicate with Mr. Johnson due to technical difficulties, and he was asked to submit his question in writing. UNFINISHED BUSINESS – Moved up before Committee Reports Rush Adult Soccer – Ryan Shaw and Neil McNabb • Presentation for Adult Soccer Program at the Cox Road Athletic Complex • Logistics – Proposing two non-consecutive days to play 11 vs. 11 and 7 vs. 7 matches, 12 – 15 players per team • History - $80.00 per player; 185 players - Year-round play (4 seasons) • Growth – Willing to work around City of Milton Youth Programs for field space; and assist in recruiting of more Milton residents to participate in Adult Soccer Program A motion to approve discussion with Rush and City Staff was made by Mr. Yonson and was seconded by Mr. Alberici. The vote passed unanimously. PRAB – June 18, 2020 Page 3 of 4 COMMITTEE REPORTS a. Hopewell Baseball – Esteban Colina • Organized/scheduled practices and evaluations (Ex. All Stars) resume June 1; Scrimmages/Games to resume June 15 • Summer camps approved • Credit given to Spring participants b. Boys and Girls Lacrosse – Joey Costanzo & Jason Alberici • Organized /scheduled practices and evaluations resume June 1 • Summer camps and programs resume June 15 • Boys – No activity schedule until July c. NAFL Football – Sean-Michael Yonson • Plans/Strategies for restart have been presented, no start date set • Current Registration 2020 Fall Cheer – 30 2020 Fall Flag Football – 112; 31 Volunteer Applicants and 10+ players on waitlist based on current team sizes for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade teams d. Half Time Sports Basketball – Phil Cranmer • Summer Camps taking place at Mill Springs Academy e. Milton Mustangs Swim Team -Dave Shannon • No 2020 Swim Team f. Milton Tennis - Dave Shannon • Court reservation and lesson taking place g. Arts Programming – Scott Stachowski • Online camps have been offered, regular camps to resume in July NEW BUSINESS None CITY STAFF REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS a. Parks and Recreation Covid-19 Review • Presentation from Matt Marietta regarding most recent Covid-19 researching regards to sports and recreational activities b. Wall of Champions Report A motion to defer the Wall of Champions report to July was made by Mr. Costanzo and seconded by Mr. Alberici. The vote passed unanimously. PRAB – June 18, 2020 Page 4 of 4 OTHER BUSINESS None ADJOURNMENT A motion was made to adjourn by Mr. Alberici. The motion was seconded by Mr. Yonson. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. The meeting was ended by Mr. Stachowski at 7:36 PM.
