ROLL CALL Roll call was taken by Mr. Stachowski. MEMBERS PRESENT Scot Stachowski Joey Costanzo Van Kottis Dave Shannon Sue Rekuc Ron Hill OTHERS PRESENT Jim Cregge, Parks and Recreation Director Tim Lester, NFL Milton Steelers Lito Hosea, NFL Milton Steelers Quorum was announced by Mr. Stachowski. APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA A motion to move new business to earlier in the meeting anxd otherwise approving the agenda was made by Mr. Shannon and seconded by Mrs. Rekuc. The vote passed unanimously. It was seconded by Mrs. Rekuc. The motion passed unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT None NEW BUSINESS 1. Milton Steelers a. Introduction by Tim and Lito and how they got to the meeting working with cities and schools b. Would like to see a master schedule and they are working with Mr. Cregge on utilizing open space at the parks c. Want to increase participation d. Adding numbers to fields as well as down and distance markers (the city will provide this) e. Looking to get safety equipment and Mr. Cregge was looking into costs i. Where will the equipment be stored? f. Asking for a reduction in the commission fees g. Eliminate the 50% non-resident fee i. Mrs. Rekuc asked if we can account for the kids that can't afford the program h. Item #5 on Tim Lester's list was corrected by Mr. Cregge. City of Alpharetta does put a cap on the non-resident fee i. Discussion on how to rent the fields rather than being a program partner of the City. j. They do not want a PRAB liaison as an active member on the Board. COMMITTEE REPORTS 1. Hopewell Baseball: opening day for baseball was Saturday the 19t" 2. Football: N/A 3. Lacrosse: Ongoing 4. Veterans Memorialization: N/A UNFINISHED BUSINESS None April 15, 2016 PRAB Minutes CITY STAFF REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS Bell Memorial Park: Work was done to the base paths on the fields to fix distance and placement issues. The lighting corrections were made in the batting cages. The trails are almost complete. The fences were fixed. The final walkthrough with the contractor will be soon to put an end to the project. 2. Providence Park: there were benches built and installed in the walking trails. Waiting for the final report on the bridges and dock. OTHER 1. Motion to suggest non-resident fees to be capped at $90 made by Mrs. Rekuc. Motion was seconded by Mr. Shannon. 2. Evaluate the impact of changing the commission rate from 30% down to 10% ADJOURNMENT Motion made to adjourn by Mrs. Rekuc. The motion was seconded by Mr. Shannon. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote. The meeting ended at 1:40 pm.
