Cali to Order - The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Public Comment - There was no public comment.
Approval of Action Minutes
i ) January 25, 2017 Planning Commission Meeting
A motion was made by Paul Moore and seconded by Fred Edwards
to approve the minutes as presented by Staff. The motion passed
unanimously 5-0.
2) February 23, 2017 Planning Commission Meeting
A motion was made by Paul Moore and seconded by Fred Edwards
to approve the minutes as presented by Staff. The motion passed
unanimously 5-0.
5. New Items
1) RZ17-02-12800, 12830, and 12850 Hopewell Road by Fuqua &
Associates to rezone from AG-1 (Agricultural) to R-4A (Single
Family Dwelling) to develop 17 single family lots on 14.6 acres
at a density of 1.16 units per acre.
A motion was made by Paul Moore and seconded.by Mark
Rittner to recommend denial based on the fact that the City of
Milton 2035 Future ,hand Use Plan Map was approved in
October of 2016 and it recommended Agricultural Equestrian
and Estate Residential for the site. The motion passed
unanimvusly.6-0.
2} RZ17-03.- Consideration to amend Sec. 64-418. Pre -
development notification and public: informational
meeting and S.ec. 64-419. Definitions of the AG-1 (Agricultural)
Zoning ❑istrict.
A motion was made by Fred Edwards and seconded by Paul
Moore to.approve RZ17-03 as presented by Staff. The motion
passed unanimously 6-0.
3) RZ17-04 - Consideration to amend Sec. 64-441 - Pre -
development notification and public. informational
meeting and Sec. 64-44.1. Definitions of the R-1 (Residential)
Zoning. District..
A motion was made by Fred Edwards and seconded by Paul
Moore to approve RZ77-04 as presented by Staff. The motion
passed unanimously 6-0.
4) RZ17-05 - Consideration to amend Sec. 64-464 - Pre -
development notification and .public informational
meefing and Sec. 644-465. Definitions of the R-2 (Residential)
Zoning District.
A motion was made by Fred Edwards and seconded by Paul
.Moore to 'approve RZ 17-05 as presented by: Staff.. The motion
passed unanimously 6-0.
5) RI1.7-06 - Consideration to ame.nd.Sec. 64-487 - Pre -
development notification and public informational
meeting and Sec. 64-488. Definitions of the R-2A (Residential)
Zoning District.
A motion was made by Fred Edwards and seconded by Paul
Moore to approve RZ I7-06 as presented by Staff. The motion
passed unanimously 6-0.

6) Chapter 2 of the City Code - Administration - Sec. 2-206 --
Duties of the Planning Commission.
A motion was made by Fred Edwards and seconded by Paul
Moore to approve Chapter 2 of the City Code -
Administration - Sec. 2-206 as presented by Staff with adding
"including recommendations" in the duties. In addition, to
change Sec. 2-209 Reimbursement to change the some as
the HPC to allow for compensation. The motion passed
unanimously 6-0.
7) RZ17-07- Consideration to amend Sec. 64-2453. - Creation of
a historic preservation commission (To allow for compensation
of meetings) .
A motion was made by Fred Edwards and seconded by Paul
Moore to approve RI I7-07 as presented by Staff. The motion
passed unanimously 6-0.
6. Deferred items
1) Consideration to amend the process of plat procedures.
Chapter 50 of the City Code - Subdivisions
A motion was made by Paul Moore and seconded by Mark
Bittner to approve Chapter 50 of the City Code - Subdivisions
as presented by Staff with the proposed change for the
Planning Commission to approve or deny plats and appeals
go the Mayor and City Council. The motion passed
unanimously 6-0.
7. Adjourn
A motion was made by Paul Moore and seconded by
Fred Edwards to adjourn the meeting at 8: 15 p.m. The motion
passed unanimously 6-0.
