6. Consideration of Primary Variances
a. V19-007, 15825 Westbrook Road – Deferred from last month
Request(s):
• To reduce the east property side setback from 25 feet to 20 feet
for existing house and addition as shown on site plan.
(Sec. 64-416, c, 1)
• To allow an existing deck to encroach into the side yard setback
16 feet. (Sec 64-416, c, 1)

Conditions:

Request(s):
• To reduce the rear property line from 50 feet to 8 feet.

7. Consideration of Appeals/Secondary Variances
8. Old business
a. Update on documentation for Administrative Deferral.
The text changed to 7 calendar days prior to the scheduled meeting and
the Board requested format changes of Council to review prior to the next
Board of Zoning Appeals meeting. This item will be added to the
September’ agenda under Old Business for final review and vote to adopt
By-Laws update.
b. To request a time change for the Board of Zoning Appeals to meet at
6pm instead of 7pm.
The Board voted to change the meeting time to 6:00 pm for the balance
of the 2019 meeting calendar starting with the October Board of Zoning
Appeals meeting.
Motion to make the remaining Board of Zoning Appeals meeting time
start at 6:00 pm starting with the October meeting: Todd Chernik

Vote: 4-0, Motion Approved
c. Update of revised Variance Application.
The Board discussed text changes and staff is circulating the updates
for review prior to the September meeting.
d. V19-005, 13925 Hagood Road Update
The City issued the Demand letter to bring the structure into
compliance. The applicant has filed for Appeal.
