Events and Activities –  Earth Day – April 20 – Discuss Event Thanks to all who shared in booth duties and those who came by to visit.  The Milton Love Project – April 21 – Discuss Event Karen reported that we had a very successful event; some 35 attended and painted 56 hearts.  K-9 Support Golf Tournament – May 1 at Echelon Noted  Communiteen – Discuss Current Plans Ansley reported that two events are planned for Communiteen, both to take place at the Bethwell Community Center. The first event is scheduled for June 1 and plans are to show the movie “Wreck It Ralph.” The second event Document is to take place on August 24 and tentative plans are to paint hearts for The Milton Love Project Living Room Conversations –  Public Safety Class – May 30 at City Hall It was reported that all is set for this event. The importance of a good attendance at this and all of our events is very important to the success of Better Together.  Finance for your Teenager – Determine Date and Location Peyton reported that the best options seem to be in June on either a Thursday evening or Saturday morning. The consensus of the group was to have the program on a Thursday evening. Peyton will discuss with the Wells Fargo presenter and determine final date. Possible Projects/Activities –  Welcoming New Residents – Suggested Procedure There was discussion regarding the considerable commitment this project would take given that it will involve preparing and delivering welcoming information to some 12-15 new families each month. Amanda reported that it is her understanding that a program is currently in existence that is funded by the business community. She said Bill Lusk is familiar with the efforts of the business community and suggested that we discuss our project with him before we proceed with our efforts. She added that we should also contact Heather Testerman, Marketing Director for Milton’s Restaurant. Wayne to follow-up with Bill and Heather.  Connecting Businesses and Citizens The Committee will continue to discuss this activity.  Senior Citizens – Discuss Possible Projects/Activities Sharon reported that she and other Committee members are scheduled to meet with Carrie Bellware, Executive Director of Senior Services of North Fulton. The objective of the meeting is to identify ways in which the efforts of our Committee can reach the senior citizen community in our area.
