Possible Projects/Activities –
Welcoming New Residents – Considering Possibilities
Sharon reported that there is another group in Milton welcoming
new residents and that more research is required before we kick off
this project.
Senior Citizens – Discuss Possible Projects/Activities
Deena with Senior Services of North Fulton provided an overview of
their program as well as the new Senior Services Center to open this
month in Milton in its temporary location on Francis Road. Its
eventual location will be the Hopewell House. Deena requested that
volunteers from our organization partner with Senior Services in its
Milton location.
Shaun Verna – MD Junior
Shaun Verna gave an overview and PowerPoint presentation on MD
Junior. He described how the organization started, its various clubs in our
area and how the organization is structured. He described the services it
provides to our community, as well as the recent medical mission trips to
Costa Rica. It was discussed that he present the program at an upcoming
Living Room Conversation. Better Together felt that they could help with
donations of stationary and various needed supplies for upcoming mission
trips. Deena thought that the seniors involved with Senior Services could
help with assembling the personal care kits.
