Events and Activities –
Milton Memorial Day Ceremony – Monday, May 27 at 10:00 am
Reminded all that the ceremony would take place behind City Hall.
Communiteen –
o June 1 Event
Plans are moving along with respect to this event. A news
release was sent out by the City on May 20 publicizing the
activity. Nancilee will prepare a summary detailing items to be
completed in order to make sure all is ready on event day.
Plans are to use the Field Trip medical release form provided to
us by Tom Gilliam as a guide in preparing a form for the
Communiteen event.

Reminded all regarding this planned activity.
Living Room Conversations –
Public Safety Class –
o May 30 at City Hall at 7:00 pm

Reported that City news release has been distributed. Also
reported that several homeowners associations have been made
aware of the class.
o Discuss Additional Ways to Publicize
All were encouraged to spread the word regarding the class,
particularly among subdivisions.
Finance for your Teenager – Discuss Date and Location
Peyton is in discussions with Wells Fargo regarding finalizing the
date. The tentative date is June 20. Although the target audience is
teenagers, others, including parents, will be invited to attend.
Possible Projects/Activities –
Welcoming New Residents – Considering Possibilities
It was reported that an organization, New Beginnings, has had a for
profit program in effect for some three years whereby they deliver
welcoming packages to new residents in Roswell, Alpharetta and
Milton. In view of this program, we need to continue to consider
how new residents moving into Milton could be welcomed.
Update on New Milton Library – September Timeframe
It was reported that Bob Meyers, a board member of the new Milton
Library group, is agreeable to coordinating a Living Room
Conversation to update the community on the current plans for the
library. A target date for this conversation is late-September.
Support of MD Junior
It was reported that Shaun Verma, founder of MD Junior has been
contacted regarding the possibility of having a Living Room
Conversation within the next two months.
North Fulton Community Charities
It was reported that Vonda Malbrough with North Fulton Charities will be
joining us for the June 3 meeting to provide a brief update on NFCC and its
activities.
Open Discussion – Consider Future Activities and Projects
Nancilee recommended that our group consider participating in a painting
project for a fence at Hopewell Middle School which is contemplated to

take place in the fall. It was agreed that this would be a worthwhile
project for our group. In addition, there was discussion relating to a
recommendation that our group consider more projects of this nature so
that we would have the opportunity to work more closely together on
activities. The fire station landscape project that was completed in 2012
was cited as an example.
Next Meeting – Bethwell Community Center – June 3, 2013
