Everyone had a nice opportunity to visit and make new friends. Nancilee
Wolfe prepared lasagna for the group and others brought side dishes.
Drinks, coffee, desserts were available to all.
Welcome to All
Wayne welcomed everyone to the event and recognized several special
guests, including Bob and Betty Peaks from Gulfport, MS, parents of
Nancilee Wolfe.
Events and Activities –
Pancake Breakfast – Fire Station 43 – December 13 – 8:00 to 10:00 am
All were reminded about the community-wide pancake breakfast that
will take place on December 13 at Milton Fire Station No. 43 located on
Hickory Flat Road near the intersection of Birmingham Highway and
Hickory Flat Road.
J3 Academy & Fitness – First Quarter 2015
It was reported that plans are to hold Better Together’s first business
connection event of 2015 at J3 Academy & Fitness during the first
quarter.
Milton Fields – Spring 2015
It was reported that consideration is still be given to holding a business
connection event for Milton Fields.
January 26 Meeting – Dr. Thomas Washburn/Cambridge HS
Dr. Thomas Washburn, who runs the Criminal Law & Justice Program
at Cambridge High School, will be our special guest speaker at the
January 26 meeting.
February Meeting – Police
It was reported that the Better Together meeting scheduled for February
9 is tentatively planned to be held at City Hall Police Headquarters. Our
Better Together group will have the opportunity to learn more about
police operations within the City of Milton.
Next Meeting – January 13 – Executive Conference Room/City Hall
Better Together since Formation
Wayne reported that he will giving a brief summary of Better Together’s
activities since the group’s formation in September 2011.

Chris Lagerbloom – City Manager
Chris Lagerbloom, Milton’s City Manager, will be joining us for the
January 13 meeting. All Better Together members are encouraged to
attend this first meeting of 2015.
Family Sponsorship – Teri Harrison
Through North Fulton Community Charities, our Better Together group
sponsored a special family at Christmas. Donations were collected from
our members and Teri Harrison purchased gifts for the family members
which included two young girls. Teri and her daughter, Emma, explained
the program and had the items on display for all to see.
White Elephant Gift Exchange – Nancilee Wolfe
Our evening ended with a lot of laughing and fun with a “white elephant”
gift exchange.
