Open Discussion
The group was reminded that Better Together sponsored a special family at
Christmas through a program coordinated through North Fulton
Community Charities. Our Better Together members contributed some
$250 in order to purchase items for the family. Teri Harrison and her
daughter, Emma, selected the gifts and delivered them to NFCC. A very
nice note of appreciation was received from the family and was read by
Teri at our meeting.

Special Guest – Dr. Thomas Washburn, Cambridge High School
Dr. Thomas Washburn, who leads the Cambridge High School’s Law and
Justice Program, was our special guest speaker. Dr. Washburn leads his
students in many hands-on projects that are instrumental in helping them
to determine options for their vocations after school. Examples include the
study of forensics and crime scene investigations. He relayed many
success stories of the students he has taught during the past 15 years.
Next Meeting – February 9 – City Hall – Police Headquarters
Wayne reminded the group that the Better Together meeting scheduled for
February 9 would be held in the police squad room at City Hall. Our
theme will be “the day in the life of a Milton Police Officer.”
