Wayne reported that the Milton Literary Group held its first meeting on
Sunday, March 8, at the Bethwell Community Center. There were
eleven interested citizens in attendance. A number of items were
discussed including:
o The Literary Event – Perhaps should be held in November 2015
after the group has met a few times which would allow
additional time for planning the event
o Very important to make sure the literary event is well-
publicized
o Tentative plans are for the literary group to meet monthly
o Hopefully will have a speaker (author) at each meeting who
will speak on their work and provide writing “nuts and bolts”
tips.

It was reported that we are contacting Flowers From Us in order to
determine if this business would still prefer to hold an event in 2015.

Hopefully, we’ll be doing an event with Milton Fields at some point in
2015.
Cheeses & Mary/Hello Lovely/Blencoe & Co.

Village in Crabapple. Plans are to do an event at some point in 2015.
Open Discussion
Teri pointed out that there are several opportunities available for
participation by our group in activities that are being coordinated by North
Fulton Community Charities. Specifically, the Shoebox Project runs from
March 1 to May 1, 2015. Organizations who choose to participate in this
project are to collect toiletries and other items for inclusion in shoeboxes.
The shoeboxes will be provided to women and children in the 13-county
region that United Way serves.

Jessie Romito, Manager, Sport and Community Programs for Blaze Sports,
