Adjournment Meetiniz Notes Meeting called to order by Chair, Brian Maloney ➢ Chair, Brian Maloney called roll. ➢ Welcoming new members. ➢ Approved and signed August and September meeting minutes Staff to check on Fulton County water line project ➢ Freemanville is the front entrance to Milton, needs to look rural ➢ Birmingham Hwy to have trail on both sides one side asphalt, one side gravel a. Asphalt on school side ➢ Preserve rural nature ➢ Gravel pave as a material option ➢ Maintenance of gravel trials a. Roswell b. Drainage concerns ➢ ADA accessibility in ROW — Law requirement? ➢ Equestrian loop ➢ Limit concrete in urban areas ➢ Gravel and asphalt materials ➢ Where gravel is proposed, may need asphalt in very steep areas ➢ Need to include public access through Crooked Creek as part of Milton Trail system all committee members agreed City of Milton Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee March 24, 2008 Meeting Page 3 of 3 ➢ Reviewed all segments for material ➢ Transportation Town Hall Meeting Results — full list of comments received in packet, heard from bikers that all they want is a bike -able 18" paved shoulder ➢ Funding — DNR grant possibilities, more discussion at next meeting ➢ City Policy Changes to the Sidewalk Fund — all new developments on trail sections, asking for easement or R/W for trail and pay $25/ LF into Sidewalk fund, once trail plan is adopted by city we will require developments to build the trail ➢ Discussion on pros and cons of gravel road ➢ Parks and Recreational Authority — City is looking into this, more info at next meeting ➢ Staff to update map and send out prior to next meeting Next Committee Meeting Date ➢ Next meeting Thursday April 17, 2oo8, at 6:oo pm Adjournment ➢ The Bike-Ped meeting adjourned at 9:oo p.m. )3r Malo�3�; �h�ar 1 r�.�
