CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Lockwood: Good afternoon. I'd like to call the special called meeting of the
Milton City Council for Tuesday, March 30, 2021 to order. The
City strongly recommends that you review tonight's agenda
carefully, and if you wish to speak on any item on the agenda, then
please bring your comment card to the city clerk as soon as
possible. While the Milton rules allow a speaker to turn in their
comment card up until the clerk calls the agenda item, once the
agenda item is called, no more comment cards can be accepted.
Will the City Clerk please call roll and make general
announcements?
City Clerk: Good afternoon, Mayor and Council and the special guests. I'll be
happy to call roll for the March 30, 2021 special called meeting. I
would like to remind those in attendance to please silence all cell
phones at this time. Those attending the meeting who would like to
make a public comment, you are required to complete a public
comment card prior to speaking on the item. Your comment card
must be presented to the City Clerk prior to the agenda item being
called. All speakers please identify yourself by name, address, and
organization before beginning your comment. If you are
representing an organization, an affidavit is required stating you
have the authority to speak on behalf of that organization. Please
review today's agenda and if you would like to make a comment,
please bring your comment card to me now. Demonstration of any
sort within the chamber is prohibited. Please refrain from any
applause, cheering, booing, outburst, or dialogue with any person
speaking. Anyone in violation will be asked to leave. As I call roll
this afternoon, please confirm your attendance. Mayor Joe

Mr. Mohrig: Here.
City Clerk: And Councilmember Laura Bentley is here. For the record,
Councilmember Joe Longoria is absent. Would everyone please
rise for the Pledge of Allegiance?
Councilmembers Present: Mayor Joe Lockwood, Councilmember Peyton
Jamison, Councilmember Paul Moore, Councilmember Carol Cookerly,
Councilmember Rick Mohrig, and Councilmember Laura Bentley.
Councilmember Absent: Councilmember Joe Longoria.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE (Led by Mayor Joe Lockwood)
Several: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and
to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Mayor Lockwood: All right. Good afternoon. Thank you guys for being here. So
Laura's here and Paul, was Paul, I mean not Paul, Joe going to be
absent? Or maybe just—
City Clerk: I didn't think he was going to be absent.
Mayor Lockwood: Okay so if he comes we can just add that or change that.
City Clerk: Right.
APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA
Mayor Lockwood: Okay. The next item is the Agenda. Will you please call the
Agenda Item?
City Clerk: Yes Mayor, that item is approval of meeting agenda, Agenda Item
No. 20-087.
Mayor Lockwood: Okay. I would like to add at least an opportunity for general public
comment along with this agenda and then obviously an executive

session to discuss land acquisition, potential litigation or personnel.
Do we have anything else. All in favor then or do I have a motion?
Mr. Mohrig: I'll make a motion that we accept the Agenda as amended.
Mr. Jamison: Second.
Mayor Lockwood: I have a motion from Councilmember Mohrig and a second from
Councilmember Jamison on the Agenda as read. All in favor,
please say aye.
Councilmembers: Aye.
Motion and Vote: Councilmember Mohrig moved to approve Agenda Item
20-087. Councilmember Jamison seconded the motion. The
motion passed (6-0). Councilmember Longoria was absent
from the meeting.

Mayor Lockwood: Do we have any public comments?
City Clerk: There are no public comment.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor Lockwood: Okay if there are no public comment then we will move forward.
We will move into or I need a motion to adjourn into Executive
Session.
Mr. Jamison:
Mr. Moore:
So moved.
Second
Mayor Lockwood: Okay, I have a motion to move into executive session from
Councilmember Jamison and a second from Councilmember
Moore. All in favor please say aye.
Councilmembers: Aye
Mayor Lockwood: Okay, that's unanimous.
Motion and Vote: Councilmember Jamison moved to adjourn to Executive
Special Called Meeting of the Milton City Council
Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 4:00 pm

Session. Councilmember Moore seconded the motion. The
motion passed (6-0). Councilmember Longoria was absent
from the meeting.
RECONVENE
Mayor Lockwood: Do I have a motion to reconvene?
Mr. Mohrig: So made.
Ms. Bentley: Second.
Mayor Lockwood: I have a motion and second to reconvene. All in favor, please say
aye.
Motion and Vote: Councilmember Mohrig moved to reconvene after
Executive Session. Councilmember Bentley seconded the
motion. The motion passed (6-0). SPECIAL NOTE:
Councilmember Longoria arrived 10 mins after the Executive
Session started. He was present for the remainder of the
Executive Session and for the reconvene/adjournment of
Special Called Meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Lockwood: That's unanimous. Do I have a motion to adjourn?
Mr. Jamison: So moved.
Ms. Bentley: So moved.
Mayor Lockwood: I have a motion and a second to adjourn. All in favor say "aye".
Councilmembers: Aye.
Mayor Lockwood: Thank you, that's unanimous.
Motion and Vote: Councilmember Jamison moved to adjourn the city council
meeting at 7:20 pm. Councilmember Bentley seconded the
motion. The motion passed (7-0).
