State Farm decided that they could not insure the new property. In addition, since the dangerous house was next to his residence (15245 Birmingham Hwy), the insurance company also viewed that as a risk since they have three kids. State Farm informed Mr. Plummer that he had to tear down the house on 15255 Birmingham Hwy by the end of May or else they would cancel his homeowner's insurance on both the 15255 and 15245 addresses. The city of Milton was not meeting to review tear down requests due to COVID, but his insurance company was not changing the deadline to have the home removed, so the homeowner went ahead and contracted to have the home torn down. The tear down happened on or about May 11th. New River Construction Co LLC is the owner's representative and we are helping them resolve this matter even though we were not involved with the demolition in May.
