Location: 12580 Crabapple Road, Echo SD Applicant: Ken Warlick, Jon Finucane Request(s): • Demolish the existing residence and structures. Motion to Approve: Doug Hene 2nd: Lee Collins Vote: 4-0 (Approved) b. Location: 12830 New Providence Road Applicant: Patric Abent, James Scruggs Request(s): • Remove old barn to build a pavilion at the same location. Motion to Approve: Reid Casey 2nd: Lee Collins Vote: 5-0 (Approved) c. Location: 2108 Birmingham Road Applicant: Scott Reece Request(s): • Demolish existing building, portable building, a portion of concrete driveway and to remove well building. Location: 2315 Dinsmore Road Applicant: Scott Reece Request(s): • Demolish existing residence, wood building, concrete pad and concrete driveway. V22-07, 4060 Felton Circle Applicant Andrew Noble Representative: Andrew Noble Request(s): • To reduce the side yard setback from 10 feet to 8 feet for an existing detached garage. (Article XIX - Crabapple Form-Based Code, Article 5, Table 10, (f.3)) Comments: DRB recommends getting support letter from neighbor. DRB recommends approval of the variance. b. V22-08, 13424 Hipworth Road Applicant: Doyle Travis Representative: Ashley Barton Request(s): • To encroach into the 75-foot impervious setback for a proposed pool and pool deck. (Sec. 20-426(1) (2)). Comments: DRB recommends reduction of the scope of the project to minimize encroachment. DRB recommends making the pool decking and covered patio smaller and/or reorganizing them to reduce the impact. DRB does not see hardship in this case; however, DRB feels that the City has been allowing similar encroachments so recommends approval of this request to BZA. Notwithstanding this case, DRB suggests that the Staff need to take a closer look at Stream buffer regulations to stop encroachments to the stream buffers and setbacks in future. c. U22-02 – 12630 Crabapple Road, Suite 340, Applicant: Adam Orkin, Itaska Walk LLC Representative: Joshua Barnes Request(s): • For a Use Permit for an Indoor Auditorium on top floor (Sec. 64- 1846) Comments: Four of the DRB members expressed support for the use and so recommended approval of the Use Permit Charlie Robert recommends denial of the Use Permit citing concerns of insufficient parking for the allowed occupancy limit. 7) Final reviews a. Deerfield Dentistry, 4855 Windward Parkway Building Review Applicant: Gary Lowery Motion to Approve the Building design with condition that roof will be semi architectural shingles of color Slate instead of Charcoal : Ken Warlick 2nd: Reid Casey Vote: 5-0 (Approved) b. Inner Quest Church, 12830 New Providence Road Building Review Applicant: Patric Abent, James Scruggs Motion to Defer: Doug Hene 2nd: Lee Collins Vote: 5-0 (Approved) 8) New Business Reid resigned and Ken was elected as new Vice Chair Motion to accept Reid resignation: Ken Warlick 2nd: Reid Casey Vote: 5-0 (Approved) Motion to nominate Ken: Reid Casey 2nd: Doug Hene Vote: 5-0 (Approved) New Agenda, packet and Action minutes software to be used moving forward. 9) Old business None 10) Adjournment Motion to Adjourn: Ken Warlick 2nd: Reid Casey Vote: 5-0 (Approved)
