A RESOLUTION OF THE
MILTON CITY COUNCIL
APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE MILTON
PARKS AND RECREATION AUTHORITY
WHEREA S, 2007 Ga. Laws (Act No. 315), page 4297, established the Milton Parks and
Recreation Authority (the "A uthority ");
WHEREA S, the A uth ority is to be comprised of seven (7) members , which each member of the
Milton City Council auth orized to appoint a s in g le member;
WHEREAS, those members appointed by a district City Council member s hall reside in district of
the Council person making the appointment;
WHEREAS, the Mayor may appoint an 'at large' member that may reside anywhere in the City of
Mi lton;
WHEREAS, a ll appointments to the Authority are for terms ru nnin g coterminous with the Council
member making the a ppointment; and ,
WHEREAS , the City Counci l desi res to refresh and ratify all appointments to the A uth ority
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED , by the Mayor and City Council for the City of Milton
as follows:
I. Notwithstanding any prior appointments to the Authority, the following are hereby declared to
be the appointed members of the Authority:
a. Stephanie Butler, At Large
b . A lli son Katula, District I/Post l
c. Morgan Van Ge ld er, District I/Post 2
d. Scott Mynatt, District 2/Post 2
e. Jason Alberici , Di str ict 2/Post l
f. Scott Stachowski, District 3/Post I
g. Ralph Troupe, District 3/Po st 2
2. Each respective Council member sha ll be deemed to have nominated the member for their
district/post for the above appointments;
3. T hi s Re solution shall have retroactive effect such that the term of each Authority member shall
be deemed to run coterminous with the date of each Council members current term on City
Council. As such , the term s for the above Authority members shall be deemed to have
commenced as follows:
a. Stephanie Butler, January I , 2022
b. A lli son Katula, January I , 2022

c. Morgan Van Gelder, January 1, 2024
d. Scott Mynatt, January 1, 2024
e. Jason Alberici , January I , 2022
f . Scott Stachowski , January I , 2022
g . Ralph Troupe, January I , 2024
4. Upon adoption of this Resolution , each Authority member shall be duly sworn and immediately
commence service .
5. Any prior appointments to the Authority in contravention of this Resolution are hereby deemed
rescinded. . fh I\
