RESOLUTION NO. R24-08-710
A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS ON DESIGNATED ROADWAYS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Milton , Georgia, while in a regular called
council meeting on the 19 th day of August , 2024 , at 6:00 p.m. as follows:
SECTION 1. The Milton City Code, Sec . 56 -43 , provides , in part, that, "The
maximum speed limit on the public streets or parts of the public streets shall be
adopted by resolution of the Mayor and C ity Council. The City Council may
amend the list of locations and speed limits from time to time by resolution and
pursuant to the statutes and regulations governing applications for perm its to
use speed detection devices in the state ... "
SECTION 2. The Milton City Council hereby adopts and approves the updated
"List of Roadways for Milton City Government," dated June 21 , 2024 , establishing
the maximum speed limit on the designated public streets or parts of public
streets , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A."
SECTION 3. The adopted speed li mits shall be and remain on file with the city
clerk.
SECTION 4. All resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This resolution shall become effective upon its adoption .
