Attendees: Marie Latta Laura York, Melissa Henderson, Van Slack, Tib Holland, Gary Arnold, Marcia O'Shaughnessy, Ann Coggins, Travis Allen, Sharon Lockwood Melissa Henderson, Fire Marshal and Building Inspector o Reported on meeting with Ann Coggins, Chris Lagerbloom, and Alice Wakefield re: input from MDAC for building/ development compliance o Melissa is using references (i.e. "Georgia Accessibility Code for Buildings and Facilities' to develop a checklist for meeting codes re: accessibility a There is currently a "post" checklist for development, however need to develop a "pre" checklist. Discussed "pre -development package." o Presented draft of "Building Division Certification ADA Compliance" form. Discussion of signatures. Melissa to add Development Owner in addition to present signatures: Architect, Developer, and General Contractor. o Discussed concern that merchants can go back and change post certification, and then we have no recourse as there is only an inspection once a year and it really focuses on safety and fire issues. Action Items: Melissa will develop a working checklist and present to MDAC, Marie to share her checklists with Melissa as resources. Transportation: Leah Vaughn and Faye Dimassimo, Consultants for Transportation Plan o Explanation and presentation on Transportation Plan, goals, and request for feedback on areas of concern re: accessibility. o Pian is currently in needs assessment phase. a MDAC IDed concerns with some including: Curb cuts at intersections, position and height of signals at intersections, transit. o Action Items: Specific examples of concerns were requested. MDAC to identify in Milton and respond. ■ Marie Latta presented an update to the committee discussing ARCD, Resolution for Accessibility, Accessible Housing Ordinance, and Emergency Preparedness Plan.
