New Business:
• A photo will be taken of M DAC committee at November meeting.
• Tass took the floor to discuss monthly posts about MDAC on Milton Facebook page.
• These will be 1-2 paragraph posts about MDAC and what is currently going on with the
committee amongst other topics/issues.
• MDAC then discussed various city links and how to find public notices on the City of
Milton website.
• Sudie then introduced an Accessibility Rating Map (www.axsmap.com) to the
committee.
• This is a comprehensive website that can be accessed by anyone to find accessibility
rating of various restaurants, retail stores, venues and various other places.
• The website was started by a man named Jason DaSilva , a New York City videographer.
• Jason uses a 1-5 star rating for these places of business.
• Anyone can sign up on Axsmap and begin to rate places in their own states and tities.
• The strategic planning committee of Milton has given MDAC the task oflooking at this
website and rating places in the city.
• Hopefully MDAC can get Axsmap going and will be able to raise the level of accessibility
awareness in the community.
• Hope pointed out all the new businesses opening up in Milton. MDAC could have a great
chance to connect with businesses and make them aware of this new system.
• There is tons of potential for MDAC to partner up with many different entities and
spread the word about this excellent website.
• The committee then discussed the topic of meeting frequency.
• There are clearly many pros a nd cons to both sides of the issue.

• MDAC has lots of wonderful things on the table now and we don't want to lose any
momentum as a group.
• A few MDAC members suggested continuing to take Summer months off and striving to
limit meeting times to one hour.
• Running meetings in the most efficient manner possible is of high importance to all
MDAC members.
• Tass then briefly discussed the Five Points Challenge 5K that takes place on November 7,
2015 at Windermere Golf Club in Cumming.
• The event might be a good way to spread the word about MDAC if any members are able
to attend.
Old Bus in ess:
• Ken followed up with Bill Goren about possibly coming to speak to MDAC.
• Bill is definitely interested, but only has free time before 4 pm on a daily basis.
• He would like some input for MDAC on possible topics that could be discussed.
• The ADA is very broad and we would need to narrow the focus to a specific category.
• Ken believes that ADA employment related issues might be an interesting topic and
draw a good size audience.
• Education system issues related to the ADA was also mentioned as a great possible topic.
Hope Winograd moved to adjourn the meeting and Van Black seconded the motion. The vote was
unanimous to adjourn. The nex t meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4 , 2015 .
