Lakeside at Crabapple, 980 Mayfield Road Request(s):  To develop 41 townhomes, 28 single family detached lots with a master detention facility. Motion to approve with conditions: Tim Bryan Conditons: o Based on staff’s final approval 2nd: Reid Casey Vote: 4-0, Motion approved 7) Courtesy reviews a. V18-01, 4020 Orchard Way Request(s):  To allow a pool to encroach into the 75 foot impervious setback. Recommendations: o Get letters of recommendations from the adjacent property owners o You have to prove the hardship. o On some level, its buyer beware. o Personally opposed to the approval of it. o How to do you justify approving it when it’s a brand new house? o Move everything that doesn’t need to be in the buffer. b. RZ18-01, 2915 Webb Road Request(s):  To rezone from T-4 Open to T-5 to develop a 105,170 square foot self- storage facility on 3.339 acres. Recommendations: o The building is fine. o Be mindful of signage. o Height is in character with the adjacent buildings. c. RZ18-06/U18-01/VC18-01, 3505 Bethany Bend Request(s):  To rezone from O-I (Office-Institutional) to O-I (Office-Institutional), A use permit for a private school (Sec. 64-1831) to increase the size of the existing school from 6,000 square feet to 9,500 square feet and the number of students from 150 to 220 students and a concurrent variance to delete the landscape from 20 feet to 0 feet where the existing turnaround is located (Sec. 64-1090 (a)) on 2.89 acres. Recommendations: o No qualms about finishing out attic space or adding staircase on back. d. U18-02/U18-03/VC18-02, 12655 Birmingham Highway Request(s):  To request a use permit for Apartments (Sec. 64-1839) and a use permit for Senor Housing (Sec. 64-1834) to develop 42 condominiums on 4.37 acres at a density of 9.6 units per acre and a concurrent variance to delete the required 300 cubic feet of separate, contiguous storage space for each dwelling unit (Sec. 64-1839 (8)).
