Vote: 4-0, Motion approved.
4. Approval of December meeting minutes
Motion to approve: Todd Chernik
2nd: Kim Keller
Vote: 3-0, Bill O’Conner abstained. Motion approved
5. Consideration of Primary Variances
a. V16-014, 4010 Orchard Way, Randall Schmidt
Requests(s):
To allow a pool, pool deck and pool equipment to encroach into the 75 foot impervious
setback (Section 20-426,2)
Motion to defer until the next meeting: Walter Rekuc
2nd: Bill O’Conner
Vote: 4-0, Motion approved.
Note: Applicant should provide mitigation plans and show how he meets the 4
considerations.
b. V16-016, 825 Foxhollow Run, Nicole and Johnathan Smith
Requests(s):
To allow a porch and deck to encroach into the 75 foot impervious setback (Section 20-
426,2)
Motion to approve with condition(s): Bill O’Conner
Condition(s):
Stay out of the existing stream buffer areas, except for fenced pool area, during
construction.

Requests(s):

Approval per the elevation dated December 19, 2016.

6. Consideration of Appeals/Secondary variances:
a. V16-015, 800 Mid Broadwell Road, Scott Reece
Requests(s):
To allow the façade of a house to not be built parallel to the principal frontage
(Crabapple FBC 4.4.1f)
To allow the frontage buildout to be less than 50% (Crabapple FBC Table10)
Motion to reverse the Director’s decision: Bill O’Conner
Conditions:
Approval per the Brumbelow Reese site plan dated 11/1/2016, as presented
Approval per the building plans as presented
Final design of the house per the City Architect
Final landscape design per the City Arborist

7. Old business
a. Administrative approval of deferrals –The City Attorney will work on wording for a proposed
text amendment
b. Administrative approval of stream buffer variances—Staff will work on working for a
proposed text amendment for a 10% encroachment allowance
8. New business
a. Approval of 2017 calendar

b. Election of 2017 officers
