Approval of January meeting minutes Motion to approve minutes: Todd Chernik 2nd: William O’Conner Vote: 5-0, Motion approved 5. Consideration of Primary Variances a. V16-014, 4010 Orchard Way, Randall Schmidt, Deferred from last month Requests(s):  To allow a pool, pool deck and pool equipment to encroach into the 75 foot impervious setback (Section 20-426,2) Motion to approve with conditions: Walter Rekuc Conditions: o Install a temporary chain link fence along the border of 50 feet stream/lake buffer. o The buffers shall be clearly marked prior to the onset of construction. o Per the site plan dated 10/24/2016, revised 1/25/2017, by Crescent View Engineering, LLC 2nd: William O’Conner Vote: 4-1, Motion approved. b. V17-002, 185 Northern Oaks Court, Samuel and Ashley Almengor Requests(s):  To allow an accessory structure to encroach into the minimum rear yard (Section 64- 416,d,i)  Motion to approve with conditions: Walter Rekuc Condition(s):  Per the Survey by J.D. Grace dated 12/27/2016  Add evergreen plantings along the rear property line between the neighbor’s opaque fence and the corner of the Almengor property line. Plantings to be approved by the City Arborist.  2nd: Todd Chernik  Vote: 5-0, Motion approved. c. V17-003, 12225 King Circle, Donna and Harvey Smith—TO BE DEFERRED Requests(s):  To allow a guest house to be located in the front yard (Section 64.1598,5)  Motion to defer to next month: Todd Chernik  2nd: Will O’Conner  Vote: 5-0, Motion approved. 5. Consideration of Appeals/Secondary variances: none 6. Old business a. Administrative approval of deferrals  Motion to forward text amendment to Council: William O’Conner  2nd: Todd Chernik  Vote: 5-0, Motion approved b. Administrative approval of stream buffer variances  Motion to forward text amendment to Council: Todd Chernik o Restriction: Up to 250 square feet of encroachment into the impervious setback  2nd: William O’Conner  Vote: 5-0, Motion approved 7. New business—The Board declined to move the meeting time to 6:00pm. 8. Adjournment
