Introduction of Board members Members present: William O’Conner, Walter Rekuc, Todd Chernik, Hodge Patel, Kim Keller 3. Adoption/Amendment of Agenda Motion to approve: Bill O’Conner 2nd—Todd Chernik Vote: 5-0, Motion approved. 4. Approval of February meeting minutes Motion to approve: Bill O’Conner 2nd—Todd Chernik Vote: 4-1, Hodge Patel abstained. Motion approved. 5. Consideration of Primary Variances a. V17-003, 12225 King Circle, Donna and Harvey Smith, Deferred from last month Requests(s):  To allow a guest house to be located in the front yard (Section 64-1598.b.5)  Motion to deny: Todd Chernik  2nd—Bill O’Conner  Vote: 3-2, Walter Rekuc and Kim Keller voted against. Motion approved. b. V17-004, 13755 Bethany Road, Steve Laboda Requests(s):  To allow a new street to be less than 50 feet from a property line (Section 64-2397)  Motion to approve with conditions: Todd Chernik Conditions: o The applicant shall create a tree health plan to be approved by the City Arborist. o Per the site plan dated 1/28/2017 by Brumbelow-Reese and Associates.  2nd—Hodge Patel  Vote: 4-0, Bill O’Conner had to leave the meeting due to an emergency at home. Motion approved. c. V17-005, 1506 Birmingham Road, Jennifer and Charles Weaver Requests(s):  To allow a barn to be less than 100 feet from a property line (Section 64-415.4.a)  Motion to approve with conditions: Walter Rekuc Conditions: o Per the site plan dated 8/8/2014 by Brumbelow-Reese and Associates, generally showing the location labeled as ‘barn’ not ‘barn alternate’.  2nd—Todd Chernik  Vote: 4-0, Motion approved. 6. Consideration of Appeals/Secondary variances--none 7. Old business a. Administrative approval of deferrals—In process b. Administrative approval of stream buffer variances—in process 8. New business—Staff will send training videos to new Board members. 9. Adjournment
