Introduction of Board members Members present: Sumeet Shaw, Gary Willis, Christopher Bloor, Todd Chernik, Jim Hilley, Walter Rekuc, Nancy Plesnarski . 3. Adoption/Amendment of Agenda Motion to approve: Christopher Bloor 2nd: Todd Chernik Vote: 7-0, Motion passed; Nancy Plesnarski was not present for the vote. 4. Approval of April meeting minutes Motion to approve: Todd Chernik 2nd: 6-0, Jim Hilley abstained. Nancy Plesnarski was not present for the vote. Motion passed. 5. Consideration of Primary Variances a. V14-006, 13460 Providence Road, Viktor Kroon Request(s):  To allow an accessory structure (garage) to be located in the front (Section 64-416,i) Motion to approve with conditions: Walter Rekuc Conditions: o Paint structure to match existing outbuildings o Submit grading and erosion control plan showing the limits of disturbance o If additional trees are removed, provide additional recompense, per City Arborist o Per Land Tech plan for Viktor Kroon, dated 4.23.14 2nd: Todd Chernik Vote: 7-0, Motion passed [Type text] b. V14-007, 15185 Birmingham Highway, James and Nicole Barfield Request(s):  To allow a pool and pool deck and fence to encroach into the 75 foot impervious setback  To allow a pool fence to encroach into the 50’ stream buffer (Section 20-426) Motion to approve with conditions: Walter Rekuc Conditions: o Per site plan by Neptune Pools, dated March 28, 2014. o Per submitted mitigation plan by Autumn Hill Nursery and Landscaping. o Plantings to be approved by City Arborist 2nd: Jim Hilley Vote: 7-0, Motion passed *Staff notes that Christopher Bloor excused himself from the meeting. c. V14-008, 13440 Cogburn Road, Saint Francis Day School, Drew Buccellato Request(s):  To allow the roof pitch of a building to be reduced from 8/12 to 2/12 (Section 64-1146, 3a) Motion to approve: Jim Hilley 2nd: Nancy Plesnarski Vote: 7-0, Motion passed d. V14-009, 13895 Hopewell Road, Jeff Runner Request(s):  To reduce the front yard setback from 60 feet to 5 feet, along the west property line (Section 64-416, b) To allow an accessory structure (a pavilion) in the front yard (Section 64-416,2,i) Motion to approve with conditions: Walter Rekuc Conditions: o Per site plan by Brumbelow & Reese, for Jeffery Runner, dated 4/3/2014. o Construct a hard surface path from the house to the pavilion. o Roof color, trim, etc. to match existing house. 2nd: Todd Chernik Vote: 7-0, Motion passed 6.
