HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCE NO 12 08 141EJ STATE OF GEORGIA ORDINANCE NO. 12-08-141 COUNTY OF FULTON RZ12-12 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 64=2371 TO CREATE PERMIT EXPIRATION STANDARDS FOR LAND DISTURBING ACTIVITIES OF THE CITY OF MILTON ZONING ORDINANCE (CHAPTER 64 OF THE CITY CODE) BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Milton, GA while in a regularly called council meeting on August 20, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. as follows: SECTION 1. That the Ordinance relates to Amending Section 64-2371, in regards to creating permit expiration standards as it relates to land disturbing activities is hereby adopted and approved; and is attached hereto as if fully set forth herein, and; SECTION 2. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or regulations in conflict herewith are repealed. SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption. Permits for land disturbing activities shall be valid for two years. Work must begin within 180 days of issuance of the permit or the permit shall expire. Permits for projects which have achieved substantial completion may be extended at the discretion of the Director of Community Development, not to exceed one additional year from the expiration date of the permit provided that the permit holder issues a performance bond equal to 125% of the estimated cost of completion of the project.
