7) Courtesy reviews—
a. V16-014, 4010 Orchard Way, Randall Schmidt
Requests(s):
To allow a pool, pool deck and pool equipment to encroach into the
75 foot impervious setback (Section 20-426,2)
Comments:
Can’t support the pool being in the buffer
They knew what the buffers were when they bought the house.
If you move the septic tanks, you will have more room to place the
pool on the side of the house.
b. V16-015, 800 Mid Broadwell Road, Scott Reece
Requests(s):
To allow the façade of a house to not be built parallel to the principal
frontage (Crabapple FBC 4.4.1f)
To allow the frontage buildout to be less than 50% (Crabapple FBC
Table10)

Deferred until January meeting.
c. V16-016, 825 Foxhollow Run, Nicole and Johnathan Smith
Requests(s):
To allow a porch and deck to encroach into the 75 foot impervious
setback (Section 20-426,2)
Applicant was a no-show. Deferred until January meeting.
d. U16-001/VC16-003, 2785 Francis Road, Chrysalis Experimental
Academy, Roy Alexander
Requests(s):
To allow a private school in an existing structure for a max of 25
students
Comments:
I don’t support the school next to a residential use. Seems to be a
gap in use.
The 75 foot buffer is there for a reason.
Work with Staff so that there is no reason for a variance.
Make this as minimal impact as needed.
A school is a good use; can be a good neighbor.
Mitigate those thing that the community may have against it.
Center your driveway with Roxbury. Remove the parking in the buffer
and replant.
