V15-001, 2600 Grassview Drive, Bentgrass Farms II, Brian Weil; Revised plans Requests(s):  To reduce the side yard setback on the west property line from 25 feet to 18 feet (Section 64-416,c,i) Comments:  Detached garage is a nice look, but the neighbors bought their house with certain expectations for setbacks, etc.  Create a landscape plan to create a visual barrier to minimize the new structure in the 13 feet between the new structure and the current Leyland’s. Landscape plans to be approved by City Arborist.  Design of garage to be approved by City Architect. b. V15-004, 5120 Forest Circle, Lot 21, The Grove on Birmingham Highway, Joe Ingram Requests(s):  To reduce the rear setback from 50 feet to 35 feet (Section 64-416,d ) Comments:  Staff’s suggestion to the developer was to go for before the City Council for a CUP. The Board recommends that the developer should follow Staff’s recommendation.  Design of the houses on all lots shall be approved by City Architect. c. V15-005, 4960 Forest Circle, Lot 23, The Grove on Birmingham Highway, Joe Ingram Requests(s):  To reduce the right side setback from 25 feet to 10 feet (Section 64-416, c,1) Comments: See b. d. V15-007, 3521 Thicket Court, Lot 39, The Grove on Birmingham Highway, Joe Ingram Requests(s):  To reduce the front setback from 60 feet to 40 feet (Section 64-416, b)  To reduce the side setback from 25 feet to 15 feet (Section 64-416, c,1)  To reduce the side corner setback from 40 feet to 30 feet (Section 64-416, c,2)  To reduce the rural viewshed from 60 feet to 30 feet (Section 64- 1141,a,1,a) Comments:  The rural viewshed is vitally important to the City of Milton and should be maintained.  See b. f. V15-008, 5304 Windward Parkway,Stonewalk Shopping Center, Joesph Ahlzadeh Requests(s):  To reduce the required parking by 12 spaces (Section 64-1410) Comments:  Parking is horrendous. To take away 12 spaces is unfathomable.  We need to know who’s going in the space, what are their traffic counts and traffic times?  Suggest deferring variance request until this information can be provided. 8) New business--Election of 2015 officers Motion to approve Marty Littleton as chair: Tim Bryan 2nd: Perry Mason Vote: 5-0 Motion to approve Laura Wysong as vice chair: Marty Littleton 2nd: Tim Bryan Vote: 5-0 9) Old business—none 10) Adjournment
