Deerfield Place Highway 9 & Webb Road Sembler Atlanta, Brian Snelling Approved with conditions:  Sidewalk to be constructed per drawing dated 12/18/07, 4-0 5. Navy Federal Credit Union Highway 9 URS Approved with conditions:  Building to be constructed per drawings dated 11/16/2007,  No roof mechanical units are to be visible from public ROW, 5-0 6. Birmingham Elementary School Birmingham Hwy & Wood Road Collins, Cooper, Carusi Deferred until next meeting, 5-0 Suggestions:  Increase buffer to 75’, add screening where sparsely vegetated  Comply with Northwest Overlay requirements, i.e., no parking in front of building, building orientation, fencing, and allowed materials.  Break building down into smaller units, smaller scale  Make sure that there is no spillover from any lighting on the recreation fields  Entry design is too contemporary, out of place for the area  The bus drop off in front of the building does not present itself very well to the community; possibly add additional landscaping to help screen the area  The natural detention is a plus  Design a building that is more in harmony with the surrounding community 7. Khol’s Highway 9 & Webb Road WD Partners Approved with conditions:  Replace dark EFIS (Section 10) with brick in the same color on rear elevation  Wrap the cornice on the front elevation around to the left elevation, 4-0 8. Courtesy review, White Columns guard house Freemanville Road McWhorter & Associates Suggestions:  Try to make guard parking space less visible from road 10. RZ07-022/VC07-016 Bethany Bend Road Bajun American Properties, LP Suggestions:  Density appears to be too high for this parcel, too much on site  Break up linear lines of units  Add off-sets to units  Re-arrange units so that they front Bethany Bend; view should be something other than a wooden fence and decks  Remove structures from floodplain  Increase green space 11.
